Meet the Teacher
I am a Piper
native! I came to Piper in first grade and graduated in 2006. I was
born here in Kansas City, KS and have lived in the area my whole life. I absolutely love teaching at the same school I went to!
After high school, I attended Kansas State University for four years and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Ed. K-6 in 2010. I also just recently received my Master's degree in the Spring from Kansas State as well in Digital Teaching and Learning. GO WILDCATS!
I am currently in my 6th year of teaching, and loving every minute of it! I have always known that I was going to be an educator, and have never wanted to do anything else. I love working with kids. Watching them grow and making an impact on their lives is very rewarding. Teaching is truly one of the most rewarding professions, and I am thankful that it's mine.
When I'm not teaching I like to spend time with family and friends, volunteer at the Humane Society, read, cook, craft, design, watch movies, play/watch sports, listen to music, and spend time with my pets. I have a dog named Eddie and a tuxedo cat named Mikey.
